Thanks to this new playable character, this Special Edition of Devil May Cry 5 feels like an entirely new and different game. To balance the katana, Vergil can also use the Beowulf gloves and boots, the Mirage Blade, and Mirage Edge, which can really deal some deadly damage in mere seconds. Although this weapon doesn’t inflict that much damage and is only lethal at a shorter range, it’s a really fast weapon, enabling you to create bigger and longer combos. The Yamato is his main weapon and is basically an extremely sharp katana. Vergil is an extremely fast-paced character and has a lot of impressive weapons in his arsenal. Where you played as Dante, Nero, and V in the original release, you can play with Vergil from start to finish and this really alters the way you play the game. The biggest difference is the playability of fan-favorite Vergil, who’s finally back for good in Devil May Cry 5. Like I said in the introduction, this Special Edition offers a lot more content than just its graphical upgrade. It’s time to sharpen your blades and take down some demons! Forget those straightforward remasters, this Special Edition brings so much more fun to the original game and is by far the best possible way to jump back in.
